We did it! With your generous support we shattered the original $1,500 fundraising goal by more than $300. Broader efforts for this upcoming New York half marathon produced more than $67,000 of pledges for Hole in the Wall.

To put the figure in perspective, $2,500 covers the cost of sending a camper to Hole in the Wall for an entire week. The benefits of this experience are indescribable, according to numerous accounts from individual campers and their families.

My official Hole in the Wall race jersey arrived this morning, and I am ready to face the start in New York on Sunday morning at 7:35 a.m. I will post more information about the actual course, and online tracking capabilities for backers who are curious about these kinds of details.

I can’t thank you enough for supporting this effort. Hole in the Wall is a wonderful organization that embodies Paul Newman’s sense of justice, and his ability to think in terms that fall outside conventional parameters. We have all done something important together.
